The Whitby is a delightful women's sock from the Burlington collection featuring the well-known argyle pattern. The sock is made from acrylic, giving the Preston a soft sheen and a wonderfully soft feel. Acrylic is a synthetic fabric that retains heat better than virgin wool. Like virgin wool, fungi and bacteria have difficulty attaching to acrylic, which inhibits their growth and helps prevent unpleasant odors.
